I would like to have the possibility to have more advanced schedules for timers, eg.

'run every 15 minutes on weekdays'

or run monthly (specify day and time) etc. etc.

It would also be cool if a timer would wake up on a trigger form the filesystem (changed folder contents for example) - this would avoid creating a polling timer for this.

The latter would be especially useful in processes

Wouldn’t it be cool to see which Outsystems community members have shown interest in your profile page? Of course everybody should have the freedom to stay anonymous if they’d want to.

When creating an integration between a third party that has a restful api, Outsystems currently requires the mobile device to contact the Outsystems server.  the Outsystems server then performs the rest request and then passes the data down to the mobile device.  For a mobile device that is simply consuming the data from this api request, Outsystems is adding additional overhead.  On a slower cellular network, depending on the size of the data being transmitted, calling the rest request directly could help improve performance.

The updated look of the applications list is great, but I've been using the search function for finding eSpaces and extensions since forever!

This is specially handy for finding applications that contain tens of modules.

Please allow searching by module name again.

It would be really great if you in someway could organise your service studio. There are of course possible ways, like;

- adding folders (the independent modules is a kind of misc folder)

- 4-LC organised 

If this structure is also applied in the Manage Dependencies, that could also really help in finding the right modules  :-) This could be another idea in itself...

Just like "Is Auto Number" option

Have an "Is Auto UniqueIdentifier" option to automatically generate GUID for entity primary key id.

We should be able to see what is the environment's platform version in lifetime so we can quickly know if there is different versions being used by different environments

Hi Rocky,

Just to further clarify. There's no need to buy any license. The Data Grid  component is ready to use. It is bound to Wijmo's Flexgrid only. If you want to use any other Wijmo component, you'll need to purchase the appropriate license.

We decided to put that particular feature on hold since it had lots of performance issues.

Nevertheless, we're improving the component still, and we'll be adding more capabilities as well. We know that there are some development issues and we intend to address them.

Please keep giving us your feedback, so that we can keep going in the right direction.

What about a button to clean the database?

We all know that while developing we test the application with dummy data that sometimes starts to be to much! A way to clean all that stuff would be nice :)

Sometimes we need to log the executed sql of some queries, or at debug time we need to check what was really sent to the DB. It would be nice that the queries\aggregates would have an extra output with that value. Instead of only List and Count, we would have List, Count and ExecutedSQL.

Right now the pattern is to put a hidden link on the screen and use "Widget Click" to trigger it. That's kind of ugly and we have the need often enough that this is a hassle. There should just be an Action to make a popup occur, have it work like the "go to this page" does, but as a popup.

Sometimes we need to send user to a popup screen after checking some condition inside screen action.

 

Nowadays we are using Widget_Click for a link/button with associated PopUpEditor WebBlock.

 

The main goal here is, one more time, reduce developers' effort to do one of the more common tasks.

Currently, if I change orientation in the web simulator it redirects me to the default screen. I think it'd be better to have the same behavior as in a device - just stay on the current screen. Every time I want to test the screen in different view modes I need to navigate back to the page I need. Same goes for a device change - I'd be good to stay or navigate back to the original page.

It would be good to be able to detach this panel from ServiceStudio, like a pop-up to define some values.

Instead of having to expand it horizontally to edit expressions that are a bit large, we could have it open in a pop-up, edit the values in it and close.

Today, there is a painful process to create and change an icon to the web blocks, entities and actions. The icons need to be created in the different sizes (16,24,32px), ensure they are pixel perfectly designed (like in 1999) and convert into a .ico file.

Would be good to have an easier way to do this.

By allowing the import of a vector format (svg) we ensure that the icon will scale and looks great on any size.

On the Mobile development front-end modules there should be the option to use the Phone default select, instead of the one currently available when the dropdown mobile is dragged, to give a more native feel to the apps.
