[Ideas] Excel processing(read/write) Library enhancement
Currently very limited functions and very tightly coupled approach for excel processing .
For reading excel structure has to be defined which is sometime limitation if we have excel with 50+ columns.
Need revision in read/write excel library provided by outsystems.

[Ideas] Importing multiple entities from excel files at the same time
Hi,
when importing entities from multiple excel files each one must be imported separetedly. It would be nice if in the "Import Entities from Excel" window I could select multiple excel files and each one be imported automatically.

Branching could be useful in different situations, some more relevant than others, but on big factories with a team with several developers, it could be very useful.
A situation that occurs frequently is when we receive a change request which requires changes on core entities, this will break the environment , and will affect other developers that are working on a different feature, but are prevented of testing/developing without pain since the environment is broken.
So it would be great of having an way of creating a branching per pta of a solution, were the developer could make the change that will break the environment isolated, finishes the development, could test it isolated again (remeber that i've mentioned a branch of the solution), if everything is ok, perform the merge of the branches, create a new solution and schedule the publish.
Im mentioning PTA was a way of doing it, it could be by branch, if it was possible to work on different espaces on a context of a branch
If i was a smoker i would quit smoking with this feature :)

Why not always include simple examples (especially that work) when you submit something to the forge. Some forge components and extensions do, but not usually. You usually have to dig in the postings for something that someone is having problems with and try to fix it to get a workable example.

[Ideas] More control over the update process of mobile applications in version 10
Power control through APIs upgrading of mobile applications in the version 10 of the platform. Automatic updates are an advantage but at various times I do not want it to occur. An example of this is I need sales force system distribute updates but do not want to interfere with the main objective of which is the sale, how it works today if the system identifies a new version it updates automatically, I want to be able to prevent this and also to determine that user group will suffer that particular update.
1 - Power have updates manually or automatic as choice.
2 - Power to determine which group of users receive the update.
3 - Be able to identify through API that exists update, inform the user and if the same is optional it chooses the best time to do it.
4 - Once with the API I can determine logical to upgrade such as maximum to the same place or the same start date.

[Ideas] Auto - Refresh Espaces
In some situations the platform should auto refresh espaces and publish them (if possible).
Scenario:
Public Entities consumed by several espaces.
There's the need to add a new column or record for static entities.
Consumers will be outdated/broken.
When the espace with the change is published which has consumers, should check if its possible to auto-refresh the consumer, and if so refresh it and publish it automatically.
By the way it would be nice to have more filters on Espaces List in SC.

[Ideas] Be able to execute each item (input parameter) of SQL object separately
When we have a complex SQL object with multiple parameters and something goes wrong is difficult to find which parameter is the problem.
It would be fantastic during debugging can execute an SQL object parameter by parameter.
It would make it very easy to find an exception for example that is occurring in the SQL object without the need to separate the parameters where I think the problem is.

[Ideas] Display App Name in Data Model for integrated entities
This might just be due to my lack of knowledge, but I think it would be helpful to, when integrating an entity from a different app, to display the name of the other application on the entity when that "external" entity is incorporated in the data model.
Maybe it is a different color row right under the entity title or at the bottom of the entity box. I can see that being a helpful so I do not need to go search, especially when I need to take a screenshot of the data model.
Also, I know it would be very helpful in the sales process when talking about governance, master data management etc. With a certain audience I will be able pull up the data model of an application and immediately point out the integrated external entity, telling the audience this table is owned and managed by a completely different area, yet fulling integrated into this data model. This is better because of X, Y and Z.
Like I said, this might be possible already and I am just not sure how to do it.

[Ideas] Allow process to start on Entity Update
Launching a process on a record create is great but it would be significantly more useful if we can also launch on a generic Update rather than only on update of a specific record.
For example, we want to hook in some API events where a notification occurs on every Add, Update or Delete. Currently we can do the Add but to do the update we have to set a conditional Update process on EVERY record meaning thousands of processes.
Yes it has been mentioned in the forums that good design would mean you have just one update function and you can add to that but using that theory the launch on Add is unnecessary so why have one without the other?
The Launch On actions of processes are really good for extending functionality of an “entity” espace without having to continually touch the original code every time so I think adding an Update launch is a valid condition.
A launch On Delete would also be useful for some people but no important for us as we do a soft delete which would be caught by the update
I can't see it being too hard to achieve, should just be an on update trigger on the database side

[Ideas] Conditional styles/extended properties
Hi,
sometimes based on a certain condition I would change the style on a button.
Instead of having that if statement in the screen and thus creating 2 buttons I would want the "Style" property to be able to handle conditions.
Same with extended properties. because sometime an onclick is added and sometimes not.

The Users Edit page in the Users espace and the system User entity could have a field to store the user default language.
In the MyInfo page on the espaces, each user could set his default language to another from a provided list.
This list must be managed in the Users eSpace or Service Center, where the developers could say which languages are available in the environment.

[Ideas] Start one department in support to answer tickets of Forge components
Hi
I'm not sure if I should give this feedback here but I didn't find any other option.
Whenever we create a support ticket where Forge component is used, support says that we can't provide support because it is not supported by Outsystems.
Please note that we have downloaded the component from Outsystems web site and Outsystems should take responsibility to resolve queries related with that component if the owner of component is not answering the questions.
Support people should be able to read the code provided by us and try to debug what is going wrong. If you don't have enough bandwidth, please start one department for such tickets because customers are ready to pay for it.
Also, if support people can't solve that query they should check if my company has OnDemand implementation license and if my company has that license they should forward my ticket to that department which will save time for us.
