The Inspections App has an implementation of the camera when offline, so you may check what was done there and compare it to your implementation.

 I looked at the inspections App, and the difference is; I don't have the <javascript to capture photos> part.  Do I need that part? because I don't see any part where it used the Camera Button?

Dears,
I can see that there's RTL web block in Liverpool Theme espace. i want to use it to produce arabic content. There were 2 discussions posted about RTL but it used London templates.

any idea how i can update liverpool layout to show RTL ?

Yes! ... but very strange...

First I got it to do something different...

It was highlighting the whole text instead of places the cursor at the end - which is an awesome thing to know as well. I will most certainly need that some day.

Here is what it was doing:



So I kept playing with the expression to see if I could make it work. Eventually I put it back the way it was and it is now working perfectly?

Anyway, thank you so much for your solution. Loved it!

(do you know how to make the whole word highlight?)     ;o)

That is the problem, what can I show you with a screen shot? Just a combo box with no list appearing.

Remember, this is only in the mobile version (OUTSYSTEMSNOW). It works perfectly in the desktop.

I think the title sounds like it is not working "now", rather than be it doesn't work in OUTSYSTEMSNOW.

I am using version 9.1.400.0 and it doesn't work with ANY combo box when using OUTSYSTEMSNOW on my phone.

hi Amit,

I would recommend to validate the applicationpool settings and the configuration tool for the timeout settings. 
at last, you might take a look in the database alert log to verify if the database has problems.

The <javascript to capture photos> is just business logic for the application. it isn't needed for the camera.

Do you have the latest version of OutSystems Now installed on your server? Old versions didn't support offline.

Also, do you have any logic to display the button only when inside OS Now? If you do, you'll have to remove it, because it doesn't work with offline.

Hi Maria,

Not sure if you have reached a solution for this but a dynamic destination is not possible. The only option is through the use of an ExternalSite widget with a dynamic URL.

If you wish to bypass the use of the URL address to pass the original URL the best option is through the use of a session variable. You build your URL dynamically based on the parameter value and then use the ExtenalSite widget to go there.

Assuming the screens are in different espace modules (that do not share session variables) what you can do is to use cookies. You can store the URL in a cookie and redirect always to the same page. This redirection page reads from the cookie and redirects you to the final URL once again using the External Site.

Yes, London.

It doesn't work even if I use with a static combo box.

What do you mean by "pattern". For the most part, I am just pointing to a table with records in just one column.

I do have a personal css attached to them to create a nice border and a different line height....

huuummm, I can try removing the css and see if it works.

Just tested on my Android (4.2.2) and it worked.

Hey there, Dus,

Here's where I suspect there might be a problem: when you first access the app using OutSystems Now (the mobile app), you download all the resources present in the cache manifest to the App Cache. At this point, the server must render the pages as if they were accessed by a OutSystems Now app (meaning that any plugin functionality should be present in the page's code).

If by chance this request follows without the proper OutSystemsNowApp User-Agent (that's what we're using to identify that it's a request from a OutSystems Now mobile app), then the screen would have the functionality disabled always.

To clear-up if this is the case, try placing a IsUsingOutSystemsNow() call in the screen's preparation, set a breakpoint next to it and open the app for the first time after installing it on the phone (this will trigger the mentioned App Cache resource fetch).  If the return value is false, then this is the case.

I believe this was already fixed in a previous version of the OutSystems Now server application. Have you upgraded? If you have, you may also be able to work-around by removing the "IsUsingOutsystemsNow" UI If from the "TakePicture" web block.

In OutSystems Platform publishing is like comitting your changes to Version Management.
It would be extremely helpful to be able to add comments on the 1 Click Publish process.
This would be even more flexible if one could drill down these comments by changed object (webscreen, webblock, action, webreference action, etc)

It would be nice to have an onRequest event to set an action which would run every time any page in the eSpace was executed.

It would avoid the issue of having to put any code that you want to execute on every page into something like a header which is workable but not the "Right" place for it.

It's a bit hard to find the "About" page in Service Center to get the version number for licensing. It would be helpful to make the current version number really obvious on that page, perhaps right next to the serial number?

Many companies have a seperated SAP/Non-SAP infrastructure and organisational structure. SAP also have their own GUI and their own SSO (SAP Logon Tickets) strategy.

It would be great to have a SAP Logon ticket creation widget that gives me a user/password string to connect to SAP bapi's/webservices as a trusted system.

For some sample coding see attached document.
